Guest Wi-Fi for Restaurants and its benefits…

Hi reader,

Welcome back and hello if you are new here! Welcome to another blog! This blog is going to be about guest Wi-Fi and how it could benefit you and your business…

We thought we would start this blog with a review we have received from one of our lovely local customers - The Plough in Leatherhead who is super impressed with our Wi-Fi…

“Fantastic service from start to finish. Kiwi provided a complete Wi-Fi system for our customers at The Plough Public House in Leatherhead. The coverage and speed is amazing allowing our customers to browse the Web or hold a business meeting with the confidence of a super-fast Wi-Fi connection. The access points are very smart too. I can’t recommend Kiwi Voice and Data highly enough.”

Can you believe it?

As we are now in 2022, can you believe it? Technology is pretty advanced, wouldn’t you agree? Our whole lives are surrounded by the latest gadgets, and social media, who has the best camera, or does your car do this? Children are surrounded by technology, iPad, phones, tablets, etc… Adults can’t leave their houses without their phones, so why if you run a venue would you not want the fastest broadband? Especially if it could benefit your social media and your business, longer stay = larger bills! Here at Kiwi, we are the missing piece to your communications, and we will help you to grow your business.

It is virtually unheard of for pubs, and restaurants to not provide free guest Wi-Fi. In nearly all cases, a solid connection is assumed, and it is simply considered a bonus to the overall eating experience.

Imagine asking the waitress/waiter for the Wi-Fi name and saying that they don’t have a guest Wi-Fi, this can’t be the case! When visiting a restaurant, customers often depend on a Wi-Fi connection for a variety of reasons checking in via Facebook so their friends and family are updated or just generally wanting to go on their phone. What if hospitality venues were able to get something in exchange for offering a guest a strong and reliable Wi-Fi connection?

Wi-Fi Data Capture in its most basic form, essentially connects your Wi-Fi network with your internet presence, (Your website, social media pages) Instead of providing the Wi-Fi password to each visitor, consumers connect to smart guest Wi-Fi using their chosen social media account or email address, which saves time and money. Not only does this save you time, but you can also utilize the information for future marketing purposes...more on this is to be explained throughout the blog.

Increase your social media following:

Make sure that when users join the smart guest Wi-Fi, they are automatically linked to your social media accounts. In order to increase your Facebook friends or Twitter followers, your smart guest Wi-Fi is an excellent tool for getting your social media platforms in front of your guests and gaining their attention.

Increase the size of your mailing list.

Why not utilise the email address that your guests used to connect to your guest Wi-Fi to keep them up to date? This is a fantastic method to keep your smart guest Wi-Fi to keep them up to date. It's a fantastic method to keep in contact with your visitors and improve client retention rates by sending them frequent emails, which may include anything from birthday greetings to promotions and special discounts. The use of social media is also a fantastic method to notify people about any changes to opening hours or operations as a result of COVID-19.

Boost the number of Google reviews

When new guests are deciding where to dine or drink, it is only natural for them to check online for reviews and pick a location that has received a large number of positive comments. Beyond remembering to ask consumers for reviews regularly, it may seem like an insurmountable job to increase the number of reviews you get.

Not only is growing your Google reviews beneficial for improving your search engine position, but it also has the additional benefit of improving the entire customer experience you are giving to your customers.

The longer the stay, the larger the bill

Having great Wi-Fi available for your customers means your customers are going to want to stay in your facilities which of course means the longer the stay, the larger the bill and what more can you want from that?
